I love the softness, loose silhouette, billowy sleeves & peachy color of this bow tie blouse, but wanted to achieve a look that was a little less girly & unfussy. Adding leather pants toughens the look & the faux fur vest is super stylish!!! Even the peep-toe heels have this cool buckle detailing that elevate my look. Instead of tying a neat tight bow, hanging it around my neck like a choker gave me a little more edgy, 70s feel to complete the look.
Wearing sneakers for this shoot was unplanned, but I think it worked. I always wear sneakers in transit to any event or social date, I can’t seem to drive very well in heels… to honest, they are just so darn comfy. Like usual, I showed up with sneakers on & heels in hand to shoot this outfit with Lorna, my friend & photographer. As we stopped, so I could change shoes, I said, “This is how I would wear this outfit, with THESE!” Pointing to my sneakers, I said with conviction, “this is more me!” Lorna happily suggested, “Why not shoot both!” Duhhhhh! I assumed that was against blogging rules. Wait a minute! There are no rules! So that is how both shoes were included.
